Lunarium Skill Tree Builds
Optimal paths for Ave's sword arts and Lune's Starfarer support.
Lunarium splits progression across two skill trees: Ave unlocks melee techniques and Focus spenders at bench hubs, while Lune grows Resonance magic and environmental utility on a parallel track. Experience from combat and exploration feeds both trees, but point placement determines whether you win fights through parry tempo, burst Focus windows, or sustained debuff pressure.
These recommended paths reflect demo and preview access through July 2026, including post-demo tuning where Charged Attacks generate Focus and Stellar Thrust costs additional Focus. Pair picks with Embroidery tiers and Cloak presets for a complete loadout.
Core systems before spending points
Three rules appear in every strong build:
- Generate Focus before spending it. Charged Attacks refill the meter; dumping Stellar Thrust on empty Focus wastes animation time.
- Earn Resonance before calling Lune. Resonance Attacks at the correct moment fill the shared meter described in the Resonance system guide.
- Unlock survival before greed. One defensive node early prevents soft-locking boss attempts while you learn tells in the combat guide.
Ave — Balanced Knight (recommended first clear)
Goal: Reliable melee damage, one Focus spender, parry safety.
Early (first hub): Basic combo extension → Charged Attack enhancement → short dash i-frames if available in your demo branch.
Mid: Stellar Thrust or equivalent pierce skill → Focus efficiency node → parry follow-up damage.
Late demo branch: Execution damage on staggered foes to sync with Lune’s weaken windows.
This path mirrors the early game build Embroidery set. It teaches Focus loop without requiring perfect play every encounter.
Ave — Parry Specialist
Goal: Maximize deflect rewards for players comfortable with souls-like timing.
Priority order: Parry window enhancement → riposte damage → Focus on successful parry → reduced chip damage passive.
Skip early: Long animation hyper-armor attacks that trade safety for style until Mnemonic Guard or similar Embroidery is equipped from the Embroidery tier list.
Synergy: Mnemonic Guard Embroidery, defensive Cloak preset, Lune’s weaken to punish staggered bosses.
Ave — Focus Berserker
Goal: Chain Charged Attacks into repeated Stellar Thrust.
Priority order: Focus generation → Stellar Thrust damage → attack speed after Focus spend → optional max-Focus damage bonus.
Risk: Empty Focus bars leave you vulnerable during recovery. Requires Starthread Lining or equivalent S-tier charm and disciplined spacing.
Not for: First boss attempts; learn patterns via Balanced Knight first.
Lune — Resonance Support (pair with any Ave path)
Goal: Keep weaken and setup effects active so Ave can execute.
Early: Resonance gain bonus → basic weaken potency → reduced Resonance spend on first call.
Mid: Extended debuff duration → coordinated strike unlock (demo showcases duo finishers after stagger).
Late: Environmental break enhancement for Ruined Castle shortcuts tied to world map secrets.
Lune’s tree does not need mirror investment with Ave’s — prioritize Resonance nodes before cosmetic or gather bonuses unless you are farming Temple materials.
Lune — Explorer Utility
Goal: Faster routing for completionists and material farmers.
Priority order: Auto-gather radius (demo previews mention resource pickup assist) → obstacle break → secret highlight or equivalent quality-of-life node.
Trade-off: Lower boss-phase debuff power until you respec or earn enough points for a hybrid mid-game spread. Viable on second playthroughs chasing endings guide requirements.
Hybrid endgame direction (full release)
When both trees reach high tier, aim for stagger loops: Lune applies weaken and setup, Ave parries or Focus bursts into execution range, Resonance refills during the stagger window. Skill points should reinforce that loop — not scattered across unused branches.
Full release may hide capstone nodes behind story progression. If a branch gates behind Castle or Archipelago milestones, temporarily pivot to the Explorer Utility nodes on Lune to unlock shortcuts rather than forcing under-leveled combat skills.
Respec and planning tips
Demo benches allow incremental unlocks; confirm whether full release adds respec items at the Temple before committing to Berserker. Until confirmed, keep five to ten points unspent before major boss gates.
Document your layout in Cloak preset names — “Ave-Balanced” vs “Ave-Parry” — so Embroidery swaps do not desync from skill allocation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
Do Ave and Lune share one skill point pool?
No. Each character has a dedicated skill tree fed by shared progression systems. You allocate points separately at bench hubs when unlocking nodes for each heroine.
What is the most important Ave skill in the demo?
Stellar Thrust is the headline Focus spender after beta tuning. Unlock Focus generation enhancements before maxing its damage to avoid empty-meter whiffs.
Should I max Lune before Ave?
Invest early Lune points into Resonance gain and weaken potency — roughly one-third of your budget through mid-demo — while Ave handles kill pressure. Exact ratio depends on boss walls.
Can I respec skill trees?
Demo builds focus on forward unlocks; full-release respec options are unconfirmed. Hold some points before irreversible capstones until launch confirms Temple respec crafting.
Which build is best for the Forgotten Forest?
Balanced Knight on Ave plus Resonance Support on Lune matches the early game build page — survivable, teaches Focus, and does not require S-tier Embroideries.
Do skills replace Embroideries?
No. Skills actives and passives stack with Embroidery charms slotted in Cloaks. Under-investing in either layer weakens the stagger loop.
