Lunarium Cloak Build Guide
Saveable presets that pair Cloak effects with Embroidery charm loadouts.
Cloaks in Lunarium are more than cosmetics. Each Cloak changes Ave’s silhouette and attaches unique ability modifiers plus Embroidery slots you save as a preset at bench hubs. Swapping Cloaks means swapping entire combat identities — defensive parry routing, Focus-heavy burst, or Resonance setups that keep Lune’s debuffs online.
Because Cloaks bundle appearance and mechanics, treat them like loadout names in a souls-like: “Parry-Forest,” “Castle-Poison,” “Boss-Rush.” This page lists the strongest combinations from demo and preview builds, cross-linked to Embroidery tiers and skill paths.
How Cloak presets work
At Temple benches and field save points you can:
- Equip a Cloak with a fixed ability effect (damage bias, guard boost, Focus modifier, etc.)
- Slot Embroideries into that Cloak’s charm holes
- Save the configuration for one-button swaps before bosses
Facility construction at the Temple upgrades Cloaks using Boar-grass, ore, and other gatherables — see the Embroidery guide for crafting flow. Higher tiers add slots or amplify the Cloak’s native effect.
Preset 1 — Sentinel Mantle (Parry / Learn)
Cloak effect: Guard stability and parry recovery speed.
Embroideries: Mnemonic Guard + Dawnweave Patch + Glimmerstitch (bridge until Starthread is crafted).
Skills: Ave Parry Specialist branch; Lune Resonance Support early nodes.
Best for: Forgotten Forest, first castle elites, players studying combat parry dodge.
Sentinel Mantle forgives late deflects while Dawnweave Patch reduces attrition between Prayers. Swap Glimmerstitch for Starthread Lining once Temple crafting completes. This mirrors the defensive half of the early game build.
Preset 2 — Stellar Veil (Focus burst)
Cloak effect: Bonus Focus generation or reduced Focus cost on signature skills.
Embroideries: Starthread Lining + Iron Hem + Resonant Filigree.
Skills: Ave Focus Berserker; Lune weaken duration.
Best for: Boss phases where Stellar Thrust windows matter; demo beta tuned extra Focus consumption on that skill.
Stellar Veil assumes you Charged Attack before every spender. Iron Hem keeps you alive during recovery frames. If Focus runs dry, fall back to basic combos until the meter refills — never animation-lock into empty Stellar Thrust.
Preset 3 — Echo Shawl (Resonance carry)
Cloak effect: Resonance gain on hit or on successful Resonance Attacks.
Embroideries: Resonant Filigree + Starthread Lining + Hollow Star (trash segments) or Iron Hem (single target).
Skills: Balanced Knight Ave; full Resonance Support Lune.
Best for: Duo stagger loops explained in the Resonance system guide.
Echo Shawl makes Lune feel like half your damage bar. Weaken first, spend Resonance on coordinated calls, then Ave executes during stagger. Hollow Star accelerates mob floors in forest loops; swap it out for boss doors.
Preset 4 — Ashwalker Cloak (Biome specialist)
Cloak effect: Status mitigation or terrain bonus (demo poison zones in Ruined Castle).
Embroideries: Ashbound Thread + Mnemonic Guard + Dawnweave Patch.
Skills: Balanced Knight; minimal Lune exploration nodes if routing shortcuts.
Best for: Castle interiors and mist churches before you out-level poison pressure.
Keep Ashwalker as a secondary preset — not your default — to avoid carrying dead Embroidery slots in clean biomes. Reference world map for when poison density spikes.
Preset 5 — Forgebound Wrap (Economy / upgrade rush)
Cloak effect: Neutral combat, sometimes crafting discount or gather bonus on Cloak upgrade path.
Embroideries: Echo of the Forge + Borrowed Light (first pass secrets) + Glimmerstitch.
Skills: Explorer Utility on Lune; minimal Ave combat spend until facilities max.
Best for: Post-demo second runs farming Temple upgrades before hard mode or endings guide branches.
Swap back to Sentinel or Stellar once S-tier Embroideries are crafted — economy presets should not face late bosses.
Cloak swapping discipline
- Rename presets by function, not color.
- Match Cloak native effect to Embroidery theme — do not stack five unrelated bonuses.
- Re-slot Lune’s Resonance plan when changing Cloaks; debuff windows differ if Ave kills slower.
- Verify Embroidery duplicates exist before duplicating presets — see FAQ on the Embroidery tier list.
Launch checklist
Before July 29, 2026 release, wishlist updates on Steam may add Cloaks not shown in PAX demos. Rank new Cloaks by whether their native effect supports a full loop (Focus in → spend → Resonance → stagger) rather than isolated stat bumps.

Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
Do Cloaks only change Ave's appearance?
No. Each Cloak provides ability effects and Embroidery slots, functioning as a saveable combat preset. Appearance is part of the package, not the whole point.
How many Cloak presets should I maintain?
At minimum three: learning (Sentinel), boss (Stellar or Echo), and biome specialist (Ashwalker). Add economy presets only during crafting grinds.
Can I upgrade Cloaks at the Temple?
Yes. Demo previews describe facility construction using gathered materials to craft and enhance Cloaks and Embroideries. Upgrades may unlock extra Embroidery slots.
Which Cloak build is best for Stellar Thrust?
Stellar Veil with Starthread Lining and Focus Berserker skills. Confirm post-beta Focus costs before spamming the skill.
Do Cloak effects apply to Lune?
Cloaks equip on Ave. Lune benefits indirectly when presets boost Resonance gain or shorten fights so her debuffs matter more.
